A picture is worth a thousand hugs.
Last Tuesday Scott and Amy dressed up for their first choir performance. They are both in the Colfax High School choir and I couldn’t be more thrilled. The songs were perfect, the tone and volume were amazing, but the very best part of my evening started on the front porch when they both emerged from the house nicely dressed and willing to humor their camera clicking mother.
In ten years I won’t remember what the first or the last song on the program was, but I will always cherish the moment when Scott put his arm around his little sister. She leaned into him. Siblings and friends. I marveled at how tall Scott had grown during the year. Amy’s radiant face looked more like a young lady than a little girl.
I hope that when they are grown and gone their separate ways they will remember these precious times spent together.
They walked down the driveway, chatting as they went. Music to my mommy heart.
When the echos of our children’s daily conversations fade, I will still have my picture ~which will be worth much more than a thousand words.
From a mother’s heart…bautiful…
Just yesterday…. when we met your sweet fam as you moved back for ND and Scott came up to Cyrus and introduced himself to him. Cyrus about lost it. He thought Scott was the very best. Scott was ?? 5–6–?? love you all .
