What a Day!

It felt so good to sleep in and start the day with a big breakfast, which was a great thing since spent the rest of the day learning about mummies, animals and other cultures at the Field Museum then as a special treat we took a bus to meet up with Aunt Corrine at the Art Institute-

So cool to see in person the paintings of Monet and Renoir, plus the classic American Gothic. Amazing pieces and so many we could have spent a week there. Then as we sat down to visit with John’s aunt over a refreshing Coke where we also were entertained by the Chicago Bean sculpture.

Last but not least we feasted on Chicago style pizza with our new friends Mike and Shari Iverson! Ahhh…what a way to end a perfect day. We never made it all the way through the field museum so you know what that means?  We will definitely have to make another trip back to the windy city!
