Simple Blessings

A place to breath.
A place to breath.

It has been a busy summer. We are staying in Northern California for the month of July while Scott works on getting his pilot’s license, Jack and Amy have had fun reconnecting with friends, and I have been busy working on the final edits of “The Adventures of Perly Monroe.”

In the midst of all the busyness there has been a complete sense of renewal,  and refocus. At  the end of the day, we sit on the deck and watch the Osprey hunt for fish, hear the Canadian Geese settle down for the night, inhale the fragrance of roasted marshmallows and enjoy each other’s company.

Sometimes we get so busy in our everyday life we forget to be grateful for the tiny moments that bring us joy and enrich our lives. Peace that is as tranquil as a mountain lake on a warm summer day. Faith. Hope. Family.

Simple blessings.
