Ooh how sweet and sour!

Once in a while I make homemade egg rolls.  The deep fried wonton wrappers are crisp and the ingredients are fresh. It is a lot of chopping, dicing and assembling, but so worth it!
To top it off I make an amazing sweet and sour sauce. Perfect for egg rolls, meatballs, and broccoli beef.  Seriously..this sauce is so good you might want to lick your plate…twice!

Several years ago we made a full Chinese meal and decided to turn it into a fun Chinese dinner theater complete with Charlie Chan movies. We made a low table on the floor out of an old door and 4×4 blocks. The kitchen smelled great long after the dinner was over and the dishes done.

It was a dinner that we fondly recall every time I make egg rolls.
