Vacation Day-1

The Seither Family is taking off…literally! Yesterday morning, with a slight line of rose
highlighting the horizon, we headed toward the Sacramento Airport.
We had an 8 hour lay0over in Denver, so we boarded a bus and went into the mile high city to check out the sites. We had lunch and people watched across from the Denver Post headquarters and saw the beautiful State Capital, chased pigeons in the park, and spent over an hour
in the amazing…and air conditioned three story public
library.
By last night we were beat…but finally we were in  Minnesota.
As the plane flew over the glistening lakes below the green landscape Amy and I looked out the window in awe.
It has been over 10 years since we moved from Minnesota back to California and 5 years since we last visited the “Land of 10,000
Lakes”, but in some ways….touching down felt a little  like coming home…don’tcha know.

The other day my mother in law asked me, “Do you read anything just for pleasure?” I have stacks of newspapers and magazines. Piles of books and volumes of research material. I read all the time, but when she asked me that simple question I felt like someone who had just received a mild concussion…

  • Moving Forward

“This is the year I get in shape!”  I have told myself for the last decade.  I like the idea of toning up, slimming down and being able to keep up with my kids, but putting that goal into action is another thing entirely.   It isn’t the desire, but the discipline to put on my walking…
